ABOUT US
Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission
EMTC provides innovative, brain-based mental health care for BIPOC women, QTBIPOC, and their families. We use innovative brain & body based modalities to treat anxiety, depression, and trauma, empowering our clients to heal deeply and lead with agency.
Our Vision
To establish a new standard of mental healthcare that honors the lived experience of Women of Color & QTBIPOC, breaking down systemic barriers and empowering families to build generational cycles of health and resilience.
Our Values
-
We view each client not just as an individual, but at the heart of the collective. We support our clients in integrating their healing across all their roles—partner, parent, and leader—recognizing that healthy families build healthy communities.
-
We are committed to a new standard of care that demystifies the brain. We combine innovative, brain-based modalities with deep education, empowering clients to understand their own capacity to heal.
-
We provide culturally responsive care that affirms the dignity and unique context of every client. We advocate for equity in healthcare, acknowledging that systemic barriers impact mental health and that true healing requires being fully seen.
-
High-quality care requires a grounded provider. We model the boundaries and wellness we teach, ensuring our team is sustained, supported, and ready to provide their best work.
FROM OUR FOUNDER
Vanessa Solis, LCSW
Founder & CEO
Empowered Mind Therapy Center
I founded this practice with a clear vision: to establish a new standard of mental healthcare that honors the lived experience of BIPOC women and QTBIPOC folks—breaking down systemic barriers so our families can build generational cycles of health and resilience.
When BIPOC women & QTBIPOC are at the top of their game, everybody benefits. Our impact is exponential, so our mental health is top priority.
We look forward to see you grow and make an impact you were meant for.
In Community,
Vanessa
