Finding Our Way: A Healing Therapy Group for Moms
Maybe you're a mother, parent, or caregiver seeking connection and support from others who understand the joys and challenges of caring for children. Perhaps you're balancing work, navigating the weight of the world, or trying to hold yourself together while holding everyone else. Or maybe you're longing to reconnect with yourself beyond the roles and responsibilities you carry. This is a supportive, affirming space for mothers, parents, and caregivers of all identities. QTBIPOC caregivers are especially encouraged to join.
Motherhood can be beautiful, meaningful, and deeply rewarding. It can also be overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating. This group offers a supportive space for mothers to connect with others who understand, tend to their own wellbeing, and reconnect with themselves beyond the many roles they carry. We welcome mothers of all backgrounds, including trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people who identify with the experience of motherhood and caregiving.

You Were Never the Problem: Neurodivergent QTBIPOC Therapy Group
Have you been told in words or in actions that you're "too much," "not enough," "difficult," or "making everything harder"? By age 12, the average ADHD-er has received over 20,000 more negative or corrective messages than their peers (Dodson, 2022). When you add in moving through the world as a racialized, queer, or trans person with a neurodivergent brain, the messages compound, and over time, you may have started to believe them.
You were never the problem.
This is an 8-week online therapy group for queer and trans neurodivergent people of color. It's a compassionate, empathetic space to explore your experiences outside the stories you've been told about who you are, and to connect with others who just get it.
What This Group Will Help You Do
Reduce self-blame by identifying how racism, ableism, transphobia, and homophobia have shaped how others have responded to you, and how you've learned to see yourself as a result
Build practical strategies for navigating the neurodivergent experience, including masking and unmasking, executive functioning, sensory differences, rejection sensitivity, demand avoidance, meltdowns and shutdowns, burnout, and grief around capacity
Find community with people who share your identities and experiences, so you feel less alone
Why This Group? A Note on Intersectionality
Many therapeutic spaces don't acknowledge the impact of overlapping marginalized identities. But we know that masking, whether it's our neurodivergent traits, our gender and sexuality, or our cultural and racial ways of being, is part of what leads to distress, negative self-esteem, burnout, and trauma.
We acknowledge that homophobia, transphobia, and ableism are deeply rooted in colonization and racism. We believe it's essential to have spaces where this reality is affirmed and addressed.
If you resonate with this group description and think it would be helpful, you are welcome here, even if you're still exploring your neurodivergent, queer, or trans identity. Participants are invited to be open to examining their social identities and learning from those with different lived experiences.
Who Is "Neurodivergent"?
The term "neurodivergent" was coined by Kassiane Asasumasu to describe people whose nervous systems don't conform to neurotypical standards of thinking, feeling, behaving, and communicating standards rooted in White Supremacy, patriarchy, capitalism, cisheterosexism, colonialism, and classism.
Anyone who diverges from these norms is welcome here: Autistic folks, ADHD-ers, and those whose experiences align with Complex PTSD, OCD, dyslexia/dysgraphia, giftedness, and being a highly sensitive person. You don't need a diagnosis to belong.
